Reflections on the Film 《 Qinglan Harbor》
This movie is planned by the entrepreneur and cultural messenger Mr. Richard Yang who has lived in UK for 25 years. Invested by Ms. Diana Yao with her investment team. The filmmaker and screenwriter is Mr. William Xu. Recently, the preparation for the film "Qinglan Harbor" had been announced in London, and the further work has been undertaken. The two countries’ scriptwriters are working together to create the film "Qinglan Harbor" in China's Free Trade Port of Hainan Province and London cultural background.
Throughout the history of Hainan Province, from Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, there were 767 Juren (First-degree Scholar ，a successful candidate in the imperial examinations at the provincial level in the Ming and Qing dynasties) in Hainan and 96 Jinshi (Imperial Scholar ，a successful candidate in the imperial examinations at the provincial level in the Ming and Qing dynasties ，whose achievements is better than Juren). This is an island full of cultural traditions，from the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty in China, more than 15 people were demoted to Hainan as virtuous officials, eminent Ministers and well-know scholar who brought the original scientific and cultural knowledge and brilliant civilization to Hainan Island. The unique tropical monsoon climate has a forest coverage of more than 50%. Sunshine, sea water, beautiful beach and air nurture 30 ethnic groups such as Han, Li, Miao, Hui and so on. The unique Hainan dialect represents the cultural characteristics of an island. As early as 1840, during the reign of Kangxi period in the Qing Dynasty, the Qing government established the Guangdong Customs, and Haikou was one of the seven main ports belong to the Guangdong Customs. At that time, Haikou has become one of the famous South China Sea Customs.
Back to the 20th century, April of 1988, Hainan Province of China was formally established. On January 2010, "Some Opinions of the State Council on Promoting the Construction and Development of Hainan International Tourism Island" began to be implemented, and Hainan has officially entered the orbit of international tourism island. China government has given Hainan new policies and supports which has made Hainan a modern city in 30 years. Building Hainan ,enjoying the sunshine and sea water. They were become the symbol of Hainan. However, 30 years after the establishment of Hainan Province, the rapid development of Hainan's economy is based on land value-added and housing sales. New problems have emerged from urban planning and construction, and the housing boom has created a real estate bubble. Blindly developed buildings occupy the best seaside areas. Blocked the most beautiful scenery by the sea.
A large number of mainlanders came to Hainan to buy houses and enjoy the unique sunshine, air and beautiful scenery of Hainan island. Migratory birds have become the term of vacation pensioners who come to Hainan. They come to Hainan in winter, enjoy warm sunshine and return to their homeland in summer. Thirty years later, Hainan has not yet developed into a prosperous city, but as time goes on, it has become a home to escape winter birds. In the past few years winter time, people fill the beaches and roam the warm streets and seashores. The golden beaches of Sanya City can barely saw, full of people who came here for the winter time. These people live in houses bought in Hainan, but consume daily necessities and food online shopping out of Hainan. When they get home in the evening, they still have their hometown foods, did not drive local consumption. After the Spring Festival, a large number of migratory birds have returned to the mainland to do business and investments in the mainland, looking forward to returning to Hainan next year to enjoy the sunshine. When people like chating most is how much is your house in Hainan? Where? Has the price risen? However, Hainan became an empty city in the next three quarters of the year.
In Hainan’s spring, summer and autumn times, most of houses are empty, and in the evening, there are ghostly cities everywhere, only street lights are on. Because no one lives in the houses, there is no winter noises, just the tropical monsoon climate in Hainan, and people like the monsoon, blow away. This causes Hainan to be a city without roots. Apart from houses, Hainan has no wealth and no culture. Ultimately, Hainan still has no connotation of a city.
